"I'm terribly sorry, but I can't seem to remember my own verses"

This is kind of neat. Robert Browning, the English poet and playwright, gets so excited to use Edison's wax cylinder phonograph at a buddy's house in 1899 that he can't help but try it out. I guess just saying 'Hi, it's Bob' into the machine wasn't grandiose enough so he decides to recite part of his poem, "How They Brought the Good News from Ghent to Aix". This is cool and all, but he forgets the lines and apologizes for it. He doesn't let that a little forgetfulness stop him, though. At the end, he lets out a few shouts of "hip hip hooray!"

Yay for recorded sound!
